Or editors keep a local drive updated with all the project’s media so they can take it away and work from home for a few days on the workstation they have in the shed at the end of the garden (my own setup!) while the director is out of town for a few days. But Pikiniku’s setup didn’t really leave me wishing it had tried anything other than what it did in the game. So yeah, the game’s mechanics are well made, if a little restricted. Pikuniku’s character is essentially Abou Diaby, just without arms, and that “brilliance†being the ability to get sucked into the orbit of whatever you’re trying to push around. Anyone who remembers Abou Diaby playing for Arsenal might have an idea of what this looks like, with the gangly Frenchman always looking as if he was on the verge of falling over before doing something brilliant. ![]() Because while I did all this, it never felt as if I had to fight the game to do something simple it’s more like an illusion of clumsiness, with the character looking like it’ll fly of in any given direction whenever the game decides but it never does. As you rotate along with whatever you’re pushing, legs flying around everywhere, you get the distinct impression that this is exactly what the designers wanted for the game. The alternative is that you shove your face against something like an acorn, ball, or rock, pushing it along face-first before your entire body falls into that rhythm. Kicking is pretty much the only way your character is able to interact with its surroundings in a dignified manner. Much of this is attributed to the different postures it can take, with one of its elasticated legs acting like a grapple hook when you’re jumping, while the ability to turn into a ball and roll around is the game’s answer to sprinting. This is emphatically not the case, and it’s a testament to the the game’s design that if anything, your strange little monster character actually handles incredibly well. Given the design of Pikiniku’s unnamed characters, which is little more than a ball with gangly legs, stretching far beyond their reach in a spidery motion, you might think that the game’s challenge is in trying to control your character without breaking everything around you in frustration. The way you’ll be doing this, similar to every obstacle that Pikiniku puts in front of you, is through a mixture of platforming, running, and kicking various bits and pieces. ![]() Well if the island’s villagers didn’t think it at first, some are certainly thinking it a little while into the game, with a small resistance inducting you into its ranks to dismantle Sunshine Inc. headquarters in a live volcano, offers you the chance to watch on in numbed confusion, thinking ‘how has no-one suspected that the company that works in a live volcano with an army of giant robots is evil?’ And that chummy-chummy dystopia, which sees giant robots arriving in towns, hoovering up resources, and dispensing golden coins before choosing on lucky villager to bring aboard and ship off the the Sunshine Inc. In the current context, who could afford to pass up such an opportunity? However, the truth is, food waste is still often not taken as seriously as the business case clearly demands. Our data shows that food waste can be cut in half, leading to food purchasing cost savings of anywhere between 2 – 8%. It is hard to measure, and without digital tools teams tend to underestimate the true level of waste. I'm amazed that I actually put this car back together and rebuilt this engine and that it actually runs. Yeah I'm definitely not an expert but I'm good at following instructions to the T. then as you work the carb linkage to raise the rpms to say 2800 turn the distributor until the pointer points to 0.īasically, what the advance knob does is it allows you to set timing to what whatever you desire by simply turning the knob to the desired number AND allows you the convenince of using the 0 mark on the dampner as your target/reference/set point. the next step the instructions was telling you was to set total timing. Provided your initial timing is say 10deg. You seemed to follow the procedure correctly, but how the heck you came up with 36deg (initial) is beyond me. For performance cars it's typically 15-20deg. You really can't set anything with your timing light until you get that idle speed down to normal.įor plain stock grocery getters the initial timing is typically 10deg (advanced). Your idle speed should be about 800-900 rpms. But that's correct isn't it? I've got HP pump there and when it was running before the timing was adjusted it was 75PSI. I'm assuming that's because it was running at 1000 vs 1200 RPM. Oh yeah I forgot to add that when I finally got the timing right the oil pressure dropped from 75PSI to about 30-35PSI. But I checked the timing again after I tightened the screw and it's still dead on 10. ![]() And you can smell it on your clothes while out there adjusting. I can feel the fumes, it burns my eyes a little. One veteran mechanic told me to not mess with it and let it run a little lean or rich I can't remember what he said, but he says if you changed it right away it might melt a piston. One thing I'm noticing is the carb has a lot of smoke coming out of it after you shut it off. I sat there and turned out the curb idle screw but it never changed the idle. I have the air cleaner hose port on the back of carb plugged up while the air cleaner is off. I have the air cleaner off because there's no way to get to the curb idle screw on the Thermoquad with the air cleaner on. You can tell it's still idling a little on the high side. It's still idling a little higher than it should at about 1000-1100. Ok I went out and followed what you said RapidRobert and I got it perfectly aligned with 10BTC. It's confusing because in the "Setting Initial Timing" instruction you're doing the same thing except first youre suppose to turn the knob to a certain number. The 1st instruction is to "Turn the Advance knob to desired degrees advance setting." So do I leave the knob still at 35-36 and turn the distributor until the white mark I painted on the damper is aligned with 0? Or do I turn the knob back to 0 and aligned the paint mark with 10? I'm assuming this "moving mark" they're telling me to observe in the "Measuring Initial Timing" was the one the strobe light was making. So what does that mean? The next step in the instructions with the timing light are a little confusing. Then I shut the car off and looked at where I had turned the knob to and it was 35-36. I held down the button, Viewed the Marks, and turned it until the moving mark was aligned with the 0 on the tab. Ok I read the instructions again with the timing light and I did the "Measuring Initial Timing" Procedure. Re: Understanding how to use Advance Timing Light Why would I want to put it back at 0? Or do I just turn the knob to 10 and follow the instructions and turn the dist. Then it says to tighten the bolt back up. After selecting the desired Advance it says to press and hold down the button, view timing marks. But what am I suppose to do with this Advance knob. So I was going to put it at 10 BTC and see how it ran. The spec is 7.5 +/- 2.5 degrees, so basically 10 Before Top Center. And that's what I was going to do being it's all built back stock. I can sit there and set the timing to exactly what the specs are but that's about it. It tells me for setting initial timing to "Turn knob to desired degree advance setting." I don't really know what that means. It has a knob on it you turn for Advance it goes from 0-60. I'm following the instructions with the timing light. I have this Advance timing light that I'm not really familiar with. I tried to turn out the idle screw to adjust it but it didn't even really change. I got scared running that high on a new motor eventhough the cam break is done. It's idling way too high, like maybe 1200RPM in Park. I let it run a few seconds and zapped the throttle to let off the fast idle. Ok I got two batteries charged so we can get this 400 started and everything adjusted. ![]() The search engine is extraordinarily minimal, effective and a strong opponent to Google, Yahoo and Bing.
