Well, I'm here with a perhaps blasphemous suggestion. Well, I didn't run to El Patio the second I landed in Houston, but within a few days, I had sampled the famous blue margarita (just one). And maybe even have TWO of them if I was feeling quite daring. I've always had a strange fascination with blue beverages, and am, of course, never one to turn down a good mixed drink, so I vowed then and there to try the blue margarita at El Patio ASAP. I think a Blue Margarita, similar to our Creamy Habanero Sauce, is one of the few things that will ALWAYS sound good to him. He will eat pretty much anything, don’t get me wrong, but he’s very particular about “what sounds good” each day. You see, my husband is a craving-based eater. He saw someone with it, and pretty quickly asked the bartender, UH WHAT IS THAT? And can I have one? And he was instantly hooked FOR LIFE. My husband first came across the infamous blue margarita there. This drink takes me back to my honeymoon in Mexico. That means I get to drink two blue margarita’s right? □ And, hey sis, maybe I’ll make you your first celebratory drink with this blue margarita! This week I was already planning on cheers-ing a margarita to my husband for Father’s Day, but now some CHEERS go out to my sister and her husband too. My son’s reaction to meeting him was PRICELESS, “I’m gonna love him SO much! TEN MILLION PIZZA’s!” (in our house we measure love in pizza’s!). He has a head full of hair and the cutest little nose. Hubby is sick, baby girl is getting her 5th tooth, and there’s all sorts of crazy going on in my extended family.īut GOOD NEWS: My sister had her baby!!! She is doing great and her son is healthy too. You know those weeks where you feel like you might as well be a walking zombie? Well, I’m feeling that way right about now guys.
